Cathy Models the 1940's Red Rayon Dress!

Readers, the day has arrived!

To think that only one short week ago, this rayon print was just a damaged flea market remnant -- and is now a fetching Forties frock!

The day of our shoot couldn't have been more splendid and Cathy was in fighting form.  I think you'll agree, my dear cousin hasn't looked this radiant since she was carrying baby Simplicity.

I do hope you enjoy the photo shoot and please tune in to tomorrow's vlog for LIVE FOOTAGE and to hear Cathy speak -- and maybe even sing!

As always, to see these photos full-size, just click any image and, in Picasa, choose the album name, and then, in the upper left hand corner, "Slideshow."  (Those with mobile devices can click here.)

What do you think -- was Cathy born to wear red rayon?

Have a great day, everybody!

  1. What can i say...your self-serving cousin has done it again; turned out looking a peach on your dime and time!

Although just between you and me, in the slide pic labelled "red gloves", Cathy, with her gloved hand in the fore-shot, looks reminiscent of one of the witches from the movie "The Witches" from the book by the beloved Roald Dahl.

Peter, your skill and passion never cease to amaze me; neither does your apparent endless reservoir of 'cousin patience'.

  2. Boarding school ... and banana .... hahaha!!

The dress is DIVINE! I'm not usually drawn to vintage for myself but I think I want this one.

    Looking forward to tomorrow's vlog.

  5. I doubt than even Constance Bennett could look more glamorous than Cathy does. The dress is wonderful. It has movement. The color is vibrant. Love how blase New Yorkers leave a beauty alone for a small fashion shoot.

    1. OMGosh. I was *just* going to say that about the pay phone. I'm surprised the receiver is still attached.

    1. That's poor little Gloria Vanderbilt, but for our purposes it's Simplicity at Miss Porter's School.

  24. Will Cathy commandeer a Vlog for herself??
Wear a variety of her finery, while dispensing her hard scrabble wisdom?

You could use a week off, Peter.
