Forties Fashion: "I'm Patricia Powwww-derrrr...."

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING FILM CLIP HAS BEEN KNOWN TO INDUCE NAUSEA AND VOMITING.  DO NOT WATCH IMMEDIATELY AFTER EATING.

From "The Dolly Sisters," starring Betty Grable.  Costumes by Orry-Kelly.

1915 has never looked more 1945.

  1. I particularly like Mascara's dress. And I love how the 1915 Follies sound like 1945 as well!

You sure do post some gems, Peter! Thanks for the giggles.

  4. Good god. I couldn't even finish. I usually really enjoy those campy movies, but that was too much even for me. I can't tell you how much I get a charge out of these movie clips. I watched many of these as a kid and it's like a walk down memory lane!

  8. The woman who sang as the mascara, is the wife on the old sitcom I think was called "the moonlighters". You know, the one with the husband saying something like "one of these days...POW to da moon!"
