I wasn't feeling my best yesterday, but I managed to stencil on my party smile and hightail it to the Pattern Review event at Elliot Berman Textiles last night. (You may recognize the woman in teal on my right as Kyle from Vacuuming the Lawn.)
As you can see, I wore my just-completed panel print shirt (fabric from Elliot Berman). I've dubbed it "Big City Mud Splash."
Here I am with the famous Eugenia, one of our charming hosts.
As always, Eugenia and Deepika planned all kinds of party games, including Charades, What's My Line, and Fantasy Dress-up. All that was missing was Pin the Tail on the Bouclé Bolt.
Best Outfit prize went to visiting Floridian Kim W., who wore an 18th c. dress she draped and sewed herself. The nerve of some people!
I must give honorable mention to Teri, who wore a swanky self-sewn 1930's McCall's dress.
A highlight of the evening was Deepika trying on Sharon Butler's homemade corset.
I'm not sure Deepika knew what she was getting herself into -- literally.
There was also fabric shopping! Anna bought this digitally printed double-faced wool.
I may go back next week for a few yards of this marvelous vintage 40's-looking cotton print.
As always, it was great to see so many familiar faces and meet so many new people.

Last but not least -- in terms of calories especially -- CAKE!
I had a great time and I can't wait till next year's event.
You can see more photos from Pattern Review's 13th Birthday Party here.
Have a great day, everybody!
