Friends, the joy of living is in the giving. I haven't given away any patterns lately and, frankly, having spent yesterday at a funeral (the husband of an old and dear friend), I could use the joy.
This wonderful Vogue pattern dates from 1962. It's a
vintage size 14 -- 34" bust, 36" hip. Apart from a small tear in the envelope, it's in excellent condition, complete and uncut. And in the spirit of the
one-pattern wardrobe, it makes a blouse, a halter top, long pants
and shorts!
Isn't it lovely? It reminds me a lot of this outfit of Audrey's, right down to the French cuffs on the blouse.
And with the shorts...
You really should have this pattern -- and now you can!
This contest is open to all
MPB followers and the winner will be chosen from a random drawing. To enter simply leave a comment below to say that you'd like to participate. The deadline is Thursday, November 18 @ 6 am EST. I'll announce the winner on Thursday's blog and the shipping's on me.
Simple, right?
Are you ready to have a go?

Oh I do love the cinched waist that sash gives the blouse! Alas, it's not my size, so I will have to let the other lovelies who follow you win it. You've got me all obsessed with shorts now, and in Minneapolis there's already snow!
ReplyDeleteWould love that pattern...and it's my size, more or less!

Wasn't she truly a beautiful woman? In every sense of the word. She was elegant and graceful both in looks and manner. I remember seeing her on a chatshow her in the UK in the 70's and feeling inspired by her even at an early age.
ReplyDeletePlease include me in the draw for the pattern - Although we have extremely frosty weather here it could be planned in for summer sewing.
Love the blog - you make me smile daily!
