Followed the MPB jeans sew along link from Distracted Domestic and you now have a new follower! I gave up sewing male clothing when DS was about 10(he's 21 now!) as it was all stuff I'd seen my father/uncles wear and new patterns for men weren't progressing with the fashions available. DH lives in slim jeans as he practically lives on horseback and even patterns for these are impossible to find in rural Australia. Still thinking of joining the jeans sew along if I can locate a pattern but will definitely be looking at everyone else's results for inspiration :D. Lol at the videos!
Ok, this has nothing to do with today's post, but everything to do with the fact that I learned something WONDERFUL from you. Peter Lappin, you are a genius!
I have been struggling with cutting out my latest dress, using a drapey drapey jersy fabric. It was slipping all over the place and then I thought "Peter uses a rotary cutter to cut out his garment pieces." And so I grabbed my cutting mat and rotary cutter. Voila! Beautifully cut out jersey pieces, because nothing moves while I'm cutting!
YAY! Thank you, thank you! (Can you tell you made my day?!)
I am laughing so hard. Where the heck do you find this stuff?! I wish I was that confident when not wearing bra.
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteJoey "has a great creative talent few other people in the world possess."
Who knew?
Sweet dreams! I have always loved Joey. Amazing look back into a different era.
ReplyDeleteNow I really, really want a candy-pink halter jumpsuit but I'd build a bra into it. Do you think it'd lose the original flavor if I did that?
ReplyDeleteAnd what about an energetic, somewhat suggestively dressed woman and a popping disco soundtrack would make anyone think about bedtime? ? Heheh.
I can't watch anything with Joey Heatherton without thinking of Catherine O'Hara's hilarious SCTV classic, "Lola Heatherton."
ReplyDeleteI had to watch this again. She looks like she's in heat.
ReplyDeleteAfter it finishes, YouTube shows an option to watch PART 2.
ReplyDeleteThat's Joey in sultry evening seduction mode. Also hilarious.
Just wanted to say that I look forward to read your blog every morning. It is so addictive!!! Loved the taffeta dress btw.
ReplyDeleteIf I were gyrating like that, I'd have to lie down, too. With a muscle relaxer.
ReplyDeleteJust think, they traded Joey in for a flock of sheep!!
Saying "Thank You!" 1,000 times isn't enough.
ReplyDeletePeter you add so much every day.
Testosterone
Great stuff as always.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed the sleepin. I notice it didn't last long - was it chihuahua breath that woke you up?
I can't believe that ad sold beds??? Wow how far advertising has come :)
ReplyDeleteis it just me or is she orange?
ReplyDeleteIs that William H Macy doing the voice over?
