Modeling My New Summer Outfit!

Baby, it's cold outside but that doesn't matter.

You can see my just-completed summer pants and shirt ensemble here.

I love my new convertible-collar shirt (which, you'll notice, I've been wearing buttoned up to the top for a dressier look) but the big surprise was the pants: I wasn't sure how these would work in a knit but they're super-comfy, drape nicely, and have just the silhouette I was looking for.

I know this was supposed to be my last sewing project of 2016, but I may try to fit in another convertible collar shirt in the days ahead.

McCall's 4723 in an African wax print?  Anything's possible!

Have a great day, everybody!

  1. Looks outstanding, Peter!

With everything that is "wrong" with 2016, you sir, are what is "right" (as it were) about this year. You always contribute the useful, beautiful, and delightfully irreverent - time and again.

Thank you for all you put out into the universe through this blog (and on Mood).

    An appreciative reader

  6. This outfit is a super win. Looks fantastic on you. I did have some serious reservations about the shorts but I thought I would just wait and see how they turned out. They came out great. The length and cut make them a great success. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  8. That first bathing beauty looks kinda masculine. Maybe people were presenting much earlier than I thought
