Modeling My New Summer Outfit!

Baby, it's cold outside but that doesn't matter.

You can see my just-completed summer pants and shirt ensemble here.

I love my new convertible-collar shirt (which, you'll notice, I've been wearing buttoned up to the top for a dressier look) but the big surprise was the pants: I wasn't sure how these would work in a knit but they're super-comfy, drape nicely, and have just the silhouette I was looking for.

I know this was supposed to be my last sewing project of 2016, but I may try to fit in another convertible collar shirt in the days ahead.

McCall's 4723 in an African wax print?  Anything's possible!

Have a great day, everybody!

  1. Looks outstanding, Peter!

With everything that is "wrong" with 2016, you sir, are what is "right" (as it were) about this year. You always contribute the useful, beautiful, and delightfully irreverent - time and again.

Thank you for all you put out into the universe through this blog (and on Mood).

    An appreciative reader

    1. Yes yes yes. Thank you for the beauty and kindness and dog jogging videos and Cathy (more Cathy please) and goodness.

      Apple cake for everyone!

    2. Well said, Testosterone. Couldn't agree more.

Love this latest outfit - and you wear it so, so well.

  2. I often come to this blog when I need to smile - which means I've read a lot in 2016! Thank you, Peter for all you share with us and Thank You Testosterone for putting it into words.

  3. I forgot to say --- Your shirt is awesome, as always :)

  4. I enjoy reading about your sewing adventures. Thank you so much! Great shirt and pants by the way!

  5. Love this new outfit and it looks fantastic on you. Especially love the deep pleat in the shorts. You are a treasure Peter and I love reading your blog. I always take inspiration from how brave and bold you are with your sewing projects. Happy New Year and I hope you enjoy your "summery" vacation.

  6. This outfit is a super win. Looks fantastic on you. I did have some serious reservations about the shorts but I thought I would just wait and see how they turned out. They came out great. The length and cut make them a great success. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  7. Love the look. Always so good, your makes.

  8. That first bathing beauty looks kinda masculine. Maybe people were presenting much earlier than I thought

  9. Luxe and Handsome. You look great.
