MPB SHOCKER: the nude treadle centerfold + POLL!

Friends, it's been all about the treadle so far this week.  My technique is improving and I love learning to sew on it.

I want to make another treadle video and perhaps in the near future I will.  But today I thought I'd go for something a little different.

So in the glorious American tradition of shameless self-exploitation I bring you...

OK, I'm no Burt Reynolds -- but at least I'm not selling "eau de treadle!"  (Yet.)

Jeepers, have I gone too far?

  5. Ha! I sew in my underwear sometimes --it makes it easy to try on what I'm making, so I guess there are probably people who sew naked (or avoid sewing as Claire said).

  6. Snort! guffaw! I love it! Apparently there are no splinters in your sewing table, that's good to know.

  7. Ha! Love! I hope that magnet option wasn't just an empty threat...this is what Zazzle was born to do.

  12. Sitting at my desk at work. Exhausted. Stressed.
Worrying if the dress I made to wear to my DD's wedding tomorrow night is going to look Becky Home-ecky, pissed off that I have to wear heels to the wedding and wondering if anyone will notice if I ditch the heels and wear something more comfortable at the reception.
    Opened Peter's blog and YOWZA!
Thanks Peter. I needed this one.

  13. I nearly lost my tea when I was reading my feed reader. Thank you for that, but we love you with your clothes on too..... We don't require gratuitous clothes removal to keep us interested in your blog. :) What would Cathy think?

  16. Ha, Ha, Debbie! I'm a little older than you and saw that issue in the drug store, where all red blooded Americans peruse their literature. :-) My mother wouldn't have dreamed of having it around...that I know of...Hmmmm...

And, Peter, this is classic sewing avoidance. You knew that before you posted ;-)

  29. I know Fit For Real People says you should sew in your underwear ... but Peter haven't you taken it a step too far?!

  30. Is naked sewing really such a good idea? It could lead to a very embarrassing injury and a lot of explaining at the hospital!

    ReplyDelete
  31. *applauds* LOL! I see someone needs to sew something to avoid being nekkid.... ;)

  51. You have always offered inspiration. Today you have given me EXTRA inspiration!

  52. Oh Good Heavens. (wipes tears of laughter from eyes). You must be careful, you've given my husband a complex; he feels inadequate because he can't match your equipment. I haven't sewed for years, although it's on my quality of life list of changes to make. In the meantime I am a voyeur (now in more senses than one) on sewing blogs -- well, not quite like yours, since yours is inimitable. Love your approach to sewing and the world.

  53. Yo...LOL..did yor mama see this? LOL (gulp) my bf gasped and warned me about malepatternBOLDNESS...(guffaw) :P
