Her family was so overwhelmed by the prospect of clearing out decades worth of stuff that they sold the house for next to nothing and left it in that wretched state. An identical dinnerware set was one of the treasures buried under all the junk.

I had desperately hoped that my sister-in-law wouldn't want it, but our tastes are so similar I had a feeling she would. I certainly don't fault my mother-in-law for giving to her actual daughter, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't seethe with a bit of envy when she got it, haha.

Should you decide you need a bit more room in your cabinets, please let me know!sparkledonkeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06411751213675306967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1991166428290808171.post-11167988656306342010-11-28T13:20:38.235-05:002010-11-28T13:20:38.235-05:00Having lived in NYC, I'm actually amazed at ho...Having lived in NYC, I'm actually amazed at how nice your place looks despite your love of stuff. I mostly just ask myself if I like/need *fill in the blank* enough to get rid of something else, something big. The owner had a small door in the wall and when opened had a fold out ironing board with a sleeve board that could fold out to "stand" on the ironing board. They were both hinged to the wall and you had to lower first the ironing board then, if needed, the sleeve board. It was so very handy & I miss the whole set-up terribly. Even cooler - the first owner's entire family measurements were written in pencil on the wall behind the ironing board. Joe died 25 years ago but his measurements are readily available. Someday I'm going to build a set-up in this house, until that day I love the idea of behind the door storage.Stephanie in ARhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05117946992633230458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1991166428290808171.post-3762853017871812362010-11-28T12:13:03.277-05:002010-11-28T12:13:03.277-05:00I'm not even sure how many sewing machines I h...I'm not even sure how many sewing machines I have now.
