I loved learning this way, and loved the access to the industrial machines, workspaces and students. BUT... for me... the BEST part of it all, was the unlimited access to the FIT library (when I next see you in person at some point, I'll give you additional tips on what makes it so great) - You think you know why it's great, but TRUST me, you don't!!!!! AND.... your classmates who are a WEALTH of information, valuable in the both the classroom, and outside design world. Particularly the students from other countries. STAY and TALK. They will amaze you, I promise.mimi jacksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09046101113822427313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1991166428290808171.post-6900190841689162882016-09-30T08:37:23.239-04:002016-09-30T08:37:23.239-04:00I always enjoy the assignments; I like the creativ...I always enjoy the assignments; I like the creative challenge of having to incorporate a particular element (like, say, a dolman sleeve) that might not even appeal to me, and seeing what I can come up with.Peter Lappinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05109154527996679077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1991166428290808171.post-88879636475132818612016-09-29T21:59:46.340-04:002016-09-29T21:59:46.340-04:00It all looks so interesting and so different from ...It all looks so interesting and so different from anything I do. Some day I'll take a sewing class.

Do you find yourself hemmed in by a curriculum or do you find assignments liberating? I like the challenge of working within expectations and meeting or exceeding them in a creative way, whether for myself or to surprise, please, or even infuriate a teacher. I would bet your teachers enjoy having you as a student.
